The 4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

Fireworks from the 4th Philippine Pyromusical Competition
What really brought me to the Pyromusical Competition was my desire to take pictures of fireworks display courtesy of the countries participating this year.  I have always been a fan of fireworks, and who wouldn’t be? They’re like huge kaleidoscopes painting the skies with beautiful images set in a variety of magnificent colours .  So never mind that I have to travel to Mall of Asia and make my way through throngs of people if only to witness the grandeur that the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition promises to deliver.

The 4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition - 2013 is held every Saturday and runs for 6 weeks. Countries competing for this year are Japan and Finland (February 16),  Taiwan and Spain (February 23), United Kingdom and South Korea (March 02), Italy and the Netherlands (March 09), China and Australia (March 16),  Canada and the Philippines (Closing Exhibition).  Tickets are priced as follows: Patron with dinner – 1,500 PHP, VIP – 500 PHP, GOLD – 300 PHP, SILVER – 100 PHP.
The show is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.  Let me say, however, that it never starts promptly.  If you’re a mere spectator and have no plans of capturing the moment either by photograph or video, then you can be at your ticket’s designated area at 7:00 PM and just inch your way to get a good view of the sky. But if you intend to document the moment, just like me, then let me advise you to be there as early as 5:00 PM so that you and your equipment (tripod, camera, and all your recording devices) can have a good vantage point of the fireworks display.
Having said that let me present you the pictures I took from the 4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (2013).  As a disclaimer, allow me to remind you that I am a mere novice photographer :D . My budding interest in photography has pushed me to the limits here (ha!) as these shots were a product of so much effort coupled with  a lot of patience :D
