Who has never been to Tagaytay? I bet that the whole lot of the population (Manila-based) has already been there at least once. Hmmm...Was I exaggerating there? :D Anyhow, If you belong to the majority, then probably this post is not for you hehehe :D... But if you have merely heard of Tagaytay, and have not actually been there at least once for a visit, then perhaps you'd take an interest in reading this :D
|Tagaytay Picnic Grove|
If you are in Metro Manila, and the City seems to be in flames from the scorching heat (I remember it went to as high as 36 degrees Celcius, the hottest for this year as of this writing), then Tagaytay is the easiest and fastest place to reach to cool off from that summer sizzle. Travel time from Manila to Tagaytay would probably take 2 hours, even less if you have your own transportation, and lesser if you have a driver who drives like Evel Knievel hehehe :D

What to do in Tagaytay aside from enjoying its cool breeze? You can go straight to the Picnic Grove where entrance is a measly 50 PHP. In there you can, as its name suggests, hold a picnic with your loved ones while basking in the lovely sights the place has to offer; with skies bluer than blue and magnificently reflected on the calm Taal lake, one sees a picture of utmost serenity. In Tagaytay, everything seems to be fresh and cool. You can feel it in the air, you can see it in the air! I was there a couple of days ago and I took some pictures for you to see. Being there was such a lovely respite from Manila's unbearable heat, minus the very long hours of travel, and minus the extravagance of a major vacation.

There's more to Tagaytay's Picnic Grove than just its beautiful scenery. If you're looking for more than what meets the eye, you may want to try their Zipline and Cable Car rides; kindly click here to read about it from my other blog. I have some very interesting pictures and notes for you there. Check it out! :-)
